When it comes to seeing the most exciting drift cars in South-East Queensland at one single gathering it’s hard to look past a Queensland Raceway morning session. You need only take one look at perfectly crafted cars like Dylan Salmond’s freshly built s13.4 to spot why there is clearly no exception.

Josh Dobrik’s MX5

For us photographers, sometimes taking photos of the sport we love just is not enough. Much like our contributor Josh Dobrik, more often then not we can’t wait to get out there and give it a go ourselves. Josh took took it to the Pan recently to learn to drift in his own Mazda MX-5. The skidpan being one of the best places to learn the art form that is drifting; No Police, no traffic and best of all no tire usage!

RC Night at Nerang

Last week I caught up with Josh Dobrik to check out the RC drift cars he has been playing with. There has been plenty of talk about these things lately which I think is great. Yes, they are money down the drain that could be better spent on our cars, but we all need something to occupy ourselves for those times when our cars are not working. If you silently thought in your head while reading this “my car doesn’t break”, you aren’t pushing it hard enough. That or you own a Toyota.
