Sliding 3 wheelers with AUSZOKU
Last Monday night I joined John and Dan from AUSZOKU in their newly acquired 3 wheel sliders.
The hill Dan found for us had to be the best one yet it has everything you want, length, steepness, lights and no cars to worry about. The only thing missing is curves which makes this the perfect hill to practice on.
Without the natural curves on the road we set up bottles down the straight to use as clipping points.
Hadyn from Truck n’ Dj’s was there to give us his full support with his walk through van which took 3 of our trikes and plenty of room for us to catch a lift back to the top of the hill for another run!
During the process of the night I was testing out the 600D and its 1080p video which I must say is incredible considering the low light conditions we were in. We managed to get some great tandem footage Thanks to Emma so we’ll be bringing you a clip in the near future.
Sliding a three wheeler or car along gutters never ends up pretty, just like the QR short track there is little room for mistake.
2 axles, 3 pairs of wheels later we soon learnt some stronger gear would be needed for next time. Although like drifting there is no use getting frustrated about things breaking, it’s a part of the sport and it just shows you’re having a good time.
John had the right idea of keeping his noggin safe with his Japanese motorcycle helmet.
Until next time ladies and gents if anyone wants to join in on a fun night out with their 3 wheel sliders feel free to contact us here at Excitement! or the boys at AUSZOKU.
