Midnight Mechanics Hill Run

How good is it to just go for a drive some times? Not to skid, not to drive fast, but just to get the car out of the garage and feel what you have created tackle those hills. A couple of weeks ago, Josh Young, Nick, Robo and I took our cars for a bit of a slap up our local mountain.

I have always been a fan of just taking my car for a quick drive to just push the limits of the car that little bit extra, and it’s always great to be driving with like-minded people. On this particular night fellow Midnight Mechanics Nick and Rob took the drive down from Brissy to meet up with us. Nick brought his trusty R31 down…

…While Rob brought down his Ae86 coupe. This thing has been through many transitions, and even though it’s looking quite modest in comparison to earlier days Rob still drives it just as hard.

Josh had also brought out his 2J JZX90 for the run, it’s always great fun to try and keep up with Josh. Having been in this game for quite some time, he certainly knows how to steer a car.

And of course I brought out my trusty Ae71 which has been in need of some TLC as of late. Even so, I still love taking this thing out every time I do and can’t wait to have a little bit more money to clean it up again.
