4AGTE Friday Night Drift

Despite abundance of drifting events that we have floating around these days, sometimes you just can’t beat a good old fashioned Friday night drift event. Just this Friday past I got a very unexpected text from fellow Midnight Mechanic, Jason Sherring, asking me to come up to Queensland Raceway to watch him drift his 4agte AE86. Considering he has been trying to sell it for the past year, and hadn’t taken it to the track in what we worked out was more than two years, I was both very surprised and excited to hear he would be hitting the track.

I only took a few photos of Jason driving on the night and a few others, but I thought I would share them with you all. I also have some GoPro footage from the night coming up too.

This S15 has been floating around for some time and it’s just incredible to look at.

It was good to see this familiar N/A s15 that is driven incredibly hard by Aaron Fairfull. I got some footage of a certain expedition over a ripple strip and half the paddock to show you guys later too.

Mereki was out too. I’m still yet to trade paint with him in his baby blue 4agze Corolla, maybe he will be heading out to the May 9th morning session to give me an opportunity?

Well… If they’re going to give us a label.

Just one more shot of Jason. The shit weather and even worse lighting made taking photos a dream (not really). Hopefully I can persuade him to man up and not sell this car so we can see much much more of it on track. Plus the fan base he dreams of one day having will never be achieved with an SV6 Commodore.
