A bit of a Midnight Mechanics video for you guys today. I finally edited my GoPro footage from the March 9th Queensland Raceway Morning Session. I seriously love these events for the people that turn up and the time we get on track. I’m really happy with some of the tandems Jason and I go on the day, I can’t wait for us to get back out there asap!

Scott Mitchell | Davey Clarke
Scott Mitchell has just sent me through this awesome feature on Davey Clarke from South Australia. Anyone that’s in the Corolla world will know this name, and if you don’t, you should! Davey has been ripping up skids backwards for some time now and baking out of it every single time.
The video is a rather tame production which I think juxtaposes well again Davey’s always aggressive nature on the track.
I have been chatting with Davey every now and then and I would love to get down there some day if only just to watch him drive for a day. Hopefully some time I will get an opportunity to trade some paint with him.

Excitement! Car Magazine | 2011 Wrap Up
Having only been in operation for half of the year, 2011 has been an incredible year for all of us at Excitement! Car Magazine!
In a very short time we have gained some very significant contributors who have been invaluable towards the success of the magazine. However, one of the greatest things that has helped us to point the magazine in the correct direction has been the feedback from you guys; the readers. Scott Mitchell | Spicy’s SR Ke70 – Hit And Run
I spotted this video by Scott Mitchell a couple of months back and couldn’t have loved it more. Of course there is the part of me that loves this video purely because it features a ke70, but there is much more to it than that.
Despite being a short video, it is incredibly laid back and features some very crafty shots of this car. The car was obviously in a state of conversion at the time of this shoot, but I would very much like to twist Scott’s arm and see what this car is up to these days.

New Clutch | Time for a run in
I’ve just recently picked myself up one of these GoPro Hero 2′s which I have seen some fantastic footage with. Check out the GoPro web site! As many of you will know I have just purchased a new clutch and flywheel for the Corolla as well so the other day I took the GoPro and the car for a bit of a test run.
I will be doing many many more videos on the track as well as hills (maybe when the weather is a little more dry). To get the best quality go to Vimeo so you can view it in HD!

It was a bloody hot day, but that didn’t slow down the talent in SA!
Tailem Bend blew me away as a race track, and it would be amazing to see some coin put in to develop the track more.
Ian from Raceline kept the day at perfect pace, no issues, no crashes!
