Excitement! Car Magazine | 2011 Wrap Up

Having only been in operation for half of the year, 2011 has been an incredible year for all of us at Excitement! Car Magazine!
In a very short time we have gained some very significant contributors who have been invaluable towards the success of the magazine. However, one of the greatest things that has helped us to point the magazine in the correct direction has been the feedback from you guys; the readers. We love to hear constructive criticism about the site so be sure to keep letting us know what you like and especially what you don’t like!
Retrospective | Glenny’s 180 From Way Back

When it comes to car builds in the drifting scene, you could easily place owners into two categories; those who like to build a new car every season, and those who stick with the car they started with until the end. I think it would be safe to place Glenny in the latter category. For however many years I have known Glenny, he has always been building and upgrading this 180sx that you see before you. In 2009, Glenny and I headed out for an afternoon to shoot his 180 in its former glory.
Retrospective | Ben Woysky’s Kouki S14

A couple of years ago after several years of living in Japan, Ben Woysky, graced our land with this pristine S14a. Ben had been using it primarily as his daily and drift car where it would be regularly seen at Sekia Hills. When he brought the car to Australia I was immediately in love with it. After having only been in the country for a couple of weeks I asked Ben if I could take some photos of it.
Car Feature | Bangkok ke70

A couple of years ago while I was staying in Bangkok I was very privileged to meet a local ke70 drifter. Just as much as myself, Bell, the owner of the car was very eager to meet a fellow Corolla drifter from another country and gracefully allowed me to snap some shots of his car.
Retrospective | Jason’s Ae86 – A Look Back

It could certainly be said that not much is happening with Jason’s 4agte Ae86 these days, and people who say this would be right. Anyone that has been through the turmoil of owning their own track car would know that there are always the ups and downs. At times you will get a clean streak and be consistently hitting up track days. More often than not though, you will be held back by money, work, and social issues not to mention mechanical problems.
Jason’s Ae86 is currently undergoing some freshening up by our painter; Lee Hunter, who will have the car looking better than ever. For now I thought it would be fitting to show some of the photos we took when the car was painted last time.
WTAC | Superlap Atmosphere
On top of taking photos the entire Superlap weekend, I was also recording a few sounds from the event in order to create something special for you guys. This video brings together some of the still shots we took across the two days as well sounds from the cars, garages and people to give you a small glimpse of the atmosphere from the weekend.
