Oh, what a feeling! First look at Toyota’s 86 on the track.
I may have burnt through my yearly quota of luck quite early this year, but it was well worth it. Scoring an invite to Toyota’s private launch day for the 86 coupe will remain one of my fondest memories for 2012. The launch was designed to give Toyota staff an experience in the car, hopefully, so they can passionately sell it. Being a sucker for the online hype surrounding the Toyota-Subaru baby’s development, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to actually experience one in the flesh, let alone the first in the country! And so, on an uncharacteristically cold and dreary February 3rd, I happily made the trek to Marulan Driver Training Centre, torrential rain not enough to drown my uber-enthusiastic spirits.
