A Different Look At Archerfield | Chez Watts

Local Brisbane photographer Chez Watts has sent me through some pretty amazing photos that he recently took at an afternoon of drifting at Archerfield. Typically most images you will see from Archerfield are quite yawn-worthy as there are only a small variety of vantage points to get photos from. Chez however has come back with an incredibly fresh perspective that would make anyone want to go check out an Archy event as soon as possible!

There seems to be some very cool cars making it up to your standard Archy afternoon event these days. I love seeing contrast on cars like this dull grey 180sx with bright green wheels. Finally people are learning that a bright colored car with bright wheels do not look good.

Of course there are your typical punters there that are taking it to the track. Archy provides a perfect affordable spot for people to start out or practice their drifting. This R32 was giving it a damn good go.

The High Torque 180sx was out at the track baking up a storm. Chez also did a photo shoot on this car on the same day that you can check out here.

Archy has always been a very cool track that has some very tight little corners for people to fling their cars around. I guess the Rb20 in this 180 had some heating issues on the day.

One of the cars I have been seeing a lot of at Archy recently has been this VY Commodore, and I have to admit it has left me quite impressed. Yes I know it doesn’t take much for a Commodore to do a skid, but a good one takes some proper skill. Hopefully next time I am at Archy I can take a closer look at this car for you guys.

That’s it from Chez’s photos from this day, but I can assure you there will be plenty more.

Be sure to check out his photos on his page; Chez Watts Photography.
